Getting There
Independent travellers
- For independent travellers, booking a “flight only“ to Sharm el Sheikh is the easiest option. Take a taxi to Dahab or ask us to have you picked up. We are happy to send you a driver by request at any time, day or night. He will expect you at the exit of the airport building, carrying a sign with your name. Please let us know of any flight delays as early as possible! The 90km drive northwards to Dahab takes one hour and gives you your first glimpse of the ocre and red-tinged Sinai desert as you are chauffeured past the occasional camel herd and beduin camp …
- If arriving in Cairo, catch one of the public transport coaches for the 650km/7, 5-hour trip to Dahab. Departure from the “East Delta Bus Terminal” also called the “Abasseya Bus Station”. The cost of a bus ticket from Cairo to Dahab is approximately £ 7 Sterling. A faster but also more expensive way to get to Dahab is by inland flight with Egypt Air to Sharm el Sheikh, where we’ll be happy to collect you (see above). Flight tickets can be booked at any Egypt Air agent in Cairo
- Should you arrive by ferry from Hurghada, we can just as easily have you picked up from the Sharm el Sheikh’s ferry port. Alternatively you can take a taxi.
- Dahab is a two-hour taxi or bus ride from Eilat or Taba on the Israeli/Egyptian border.
